Confessions. A mirror. The path.

"As much as I may have pretended otherwise, for so long all I wanted was to be like other people. To feel what they felt. But now that I do, I just want it to stop." .-Dexter.

This was never about forgiveness or about redemption. It was just about learning to live with The Code. It is nonsense that he dropped his sister's body, the only person he has truly loved (apart from Hannah and, in a very particular way, Rita), in the very same spot where he used to drop chopped criminals' bodies. It is nonsense that he punishes himself according to a moral he does not have. And IT does not simply vanishes. IT is always with you, no matter how far you run away, how deep you hide.

But they were somehow right:

"And that's the cost of being a human being. Do you know how much easier it is to be a sociopath, and not to think and not to have anxiety and not to have hesitation or to love? I'm hoping that in addition to it making sense for Dexter's specific journey, it is an analysis or a look at how hard it is to be a human being".

The things we love.

The things that make us hurt.

'Unbowed, unbent, unbroken' is no longer a matter of aesthetics,
but a way of living'.

The one and only.
